Columbus Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
This race has been a Thanksgiving Day family tradition for 28 years. This year, it’s scheduled for Thursday, November 24th and is hosted by the Shops on Lane Avenue. Last year, over 7,600 people participated in this event that has been selected by Runners World Magazine as the best Hometown Favorite Race.

There are two distances to choose from, including a five-mile race and a two-mile “Walk ‘N Talk” race at Waterman Farm at OSU. As part of entering these races, each participant receives a long sleeve shirt, medal, chip timing and goody bag. Every participant will also receive a Whole Foods pumpkin pie!f6

Additionally, kids can get in on all the fun with the Kids Tot Trot 100-yard dash, which is free to children of registered parents and guardians. Kids get a treat, t-shirt, and ribbon for participating.

The proceeds from the event go to Easterseals and their Early Intervention Program, which provides support to help children with special challenges, disabilities, or needs so they can reach their full potential.
