Flowerama Columbus has the prettiest Easter flowers in town

Flowerama Columbus Easter falls on April 4th this year. The date changes from year to year. The reason for this change is that Easter always falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.  As is common with the majority of holidays, Easter also comes with a changing of the seasons. Spring is symbolic to the coming back to life by the plants and trees that have been dormant for the winter. Those of us in the Northern Hemisphere look forward to warmer weather and an increase in more daylight. This symbolism of the coming back to life is a correlation to the resurrection of Jesus. Those of the Jewish faith refer to this time as Passover. The Hebrew Bible commemorates Passover as a festival which celebrates the liberation of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt. This is referenced in the Book of Exodus. During the time of Jesus, Jewish pilgrims flocked to Jerusalem in hope that God would liberate them from the Romans. On one Passover, Jesus traveled to Jerusalem and the resulting disturbance in the Temple ultimately led to his crucifixion. In early America, the Easter festival was more celebrated by Catholics than Protestants. The Puritans of New England considered both Easter and Christmas as festivals for heavy drinking and merrymaking. However, by the 19th century this belief had changed and the holidays became a time to spend joyous moments with family. Today customary traditions of Easter Egg Hunting, Parades and the Easter Bunny have become the norm. Flowerama Columbus offers a wonderful selection of Easter flowers, Easter lilies, Easter themed flower arrangements and Easter Centerpieces. Our Easter Lilies are grown by local Columbus Ohio, Farmers and Easter Flowers come direct from the farm. That ensures that our flowers [...]

Flowerama Columbus Spring will be here on March 20th. Amazing how quickly the year is progressing. For many people Spring is a favorite time of year. I have heard friends say that it is a time of renewed life as trees and flowers bloom.  For these folks Spring creates an overwhelming sense of joy. Then for some of us it is a stepping stone for the summer season. To help usher in the Spring season, Flowerama Columbus has a wide array of brightly colored and very fresh spring time floral products. If you would like to surprise someone, send them one of our Spring flower bouquets. They will be thrilled and filled with the joy of Spring. Across our vast globe, Hemispheres experience different seasons. In the United States and United Kingdom located in the Northern Hemisphere, Spring time is defined as March, April and May. However, in the Southern Hemisphere, countries like Australia and New Zealand are experiencing autumn. In that Hemisphere Spring time is defined as September, October and November. Scientifically speaking, the warmer weather of Spring is caused by the actual tilting of the earth's axis toward the Sun. This of course increases the amount of daylight which increases the warmth of temperature. In order to offer more daylight for outside activities, the majority of our states convert to Daylight Savings time. While many of us are officially observing the season of Spring, countries like Sweden are not. In Sweden, Spring is defined as the first occasion on which the average temperature exceeds zero degrees Celsius. This is tricky because of the many varying elevations in Sweden. As you might  imagine, while one geographic area of the country has exceeded zero degrees Celsius, higher elevations have not. With all of the warmth [...]
